The house is about 100 years old and full of character with the vaulted ceilings typical of the area. It has recently been totally renovated from new windows down to the plumbing and electrics.

The house is large and can sleep 8–10 people. One of the four double bedrooms has a pull-out bed under one of twin beds and there is a camp bed. A cot is available.

The furniture is mainly of old pine shipped to Abruzzo from Hungary.

There are pine shutters on the windows and a small balcony at the front.

The house is serviced by mains gas and electricity, and has central heating throughout. There is also a welcoming open fireplace for those chilly evenings and cold winters.

Ground floor
On the ground floor, there is:

• a sitting room/entrance hall with an open brick fireplace where logs can be burnt in winter
• a fitted kitchen fully equipped with new dishwasher, fridge/freezer, gas oven and hob
• a double bedroom with en-suite shower room
• a small utility rom with washing machine and gas central heating boiler
• telephone (mobile)

The large kitchen table can extend to seat ten people with six chairs and an antique pine bench. A free-standing child's high chair is available in the kitchen.

There is a collection of games and books in the pine dresser in the kitchen and an audio cassette player with CD in the sitting room.

First floor
One of the three bedrooms on the first floor has twin beds and the other two have king size beds. Like the double bedroom downstairs, the bedrooms are all en-suite. One bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bidet.

Outside
The garden is planted with shrubs and equipped with:

• loungers
• teak patio tables and chairs
• barbeque

The 8 m by 4 m swimming pool has a paved area either side where guests can enjoy relaxing by the pool.
